FAQs
Q – Where can I buy Japonesque products?
A – Japonesque products are available at Trade Secret, Nordstrom, Ulta, Pure Beauty, Merle Norman,
and other fine beauty supply stores, spas and salons throughout the world. Additionally, our entire line
is available for purchase by consumers at www.naimies.com.
Q – Which eyelash curler is best for me?
A – Eyelashes are as individual as each of us. Some people want a full, whole-eye curl. Others want
spot curls on the outside corner or lower lash. And others may simply want their stubborn lashes to hold
any curl. To decide what is right for you, here are some guidelines:
Lash Length
Those lucky enough to have long, lush lashes want to keep them that way. They may prefer an open cage curler,
such as our Go Curl pocket curler (MT-036), that won’t pinch. Because of its open-cage design, the Go Curl
pocket eyelash curler can also reach shorter lashes, making it a good choice for customers with less prominent lashes.
Type of Lash
Some lashes take a curl easily. Others require a little added attention. For those with stubborn lashes,
a heated curler, such as our Heated Mini (MT-037), can curl even the most reticent lashes. For hard to reach
lashes, a more exacting curler, such as one of our Precision or Detail Eyelash Curlers (MT-030, MT-031 or MT-032),
can get to those tight spots.
Desired Curl
Today’s lash curl options are wide open. Spot curls, lower curls, big curls—whatever you want, the
right curler can deliver. For spot curls, select a curler with a smaller cage, such as our Precision (MT-032)
or Detail (MT-030 or MT-031) eyelash curlers. For lower lash curls, forget awkward poses and select a curler,
such as our Lower Lash (MT-028) curler, designed specifically for lower lids.
Comfort
Look for a curler with an easy-to-use mechanism or an ergonomic handle. All Japonesque curlers are
comfortable to use but for added comfort, try our Ergo Grip eyelash curler (MT-049). Take a look at our
Power Curler (MT-059) and you’ll see an innovative, articulated pivot that always moves in a
straight line. This unique movement applies consistent pressure at exactly the right place for a knock-out,
natural curl. Add a specially contoured cage and silicone pad and it’s virtually fool-proof to get
your best-looking lashes. Every time.
Pad
A quality pad not only provides softer, more natural curls, it’s also more comfortable to use.
Look for a soft, durable pad with a curve that mirrors the natural curl of lashes. All Japonesque pads
contain soft, resilient silicone with a rounded shape that produces a smoother, more natural curl. And,
with most Japonesque curlers, your can get free curler replacement pads by calling 1-800.955.6662
Q – How do I use the heated eyelash curler?
A – For best results, use after mascara is applied. Turn curler on and heat for 15 seconds only.
Use immediately to prevent undue battery power drain. Place curler comb under lashes and gently lift.
Hold lashes in place until desired curl is achieved. Turn off curler immediately to avoid
overheating.
The unique design helps you get exactly the look you want. It lets you curl just the outer eye—or the
entire lash—with the desired depth, curve and intensity. Even stubborn lashes can get that deep-set curl!
Q – What is the difference between your “professional” and your “travel”
makeup brushes?
A – All of our travel brushes have the same top-quality materials and construction as our professional
brushes—simply in a more compact, travel-friendly size. Our travel brushes use 4 ½-inch matte silver
handles while our professional brushes feature 7-inch matte black handles. Everything else—brush hairs, shapes,
and ferrules—remains the same. That means every brush has the same comfortable and familiar feel and delivers
the same, consistent results in the studio or on the road.
Q – What makes your makeup brushes better than other makeup brushes?
A – Exceptional quality, uncompromising materials, and superior craftsmanship go into every
Japonesque makeup brush and brush accessory. Designed with the input of award-winning makeup artists,
our brushes feature the precision, quality, and feel necessary to achieve any look. From the flawless
fashion elegance of runways and magazines to the barely-there natural flair, our range of styles and
hairs—from high-tech synthetics to luxurious natural fibers—transform vision into art. Japonesque offers
dozens of specialized brushes for achieving just the right look.
Q – Are natural hair brushes better than synthetic brushes?
A – No single brush hair is right for all applications. The appropriate choice should be based
on your intended use, type of make-up, and personal preference. In general, synthetic hairs are used
for cream products such as foundations, concealers, and some lip products. On the other hand, natural
hair tips hold powders better, making it a good choice for evenly applying and blending blush, shadow,
and other powders.
Q – What are the empty palettes used for?
A – Use it to hold your essential emollient products – from concealers and crème
foundations to lipstick and lip balm – without having to lug around a bunch of tubes. Simply scoop
crème from the original container and press into the compartments to consolidate multiple shades
of color into one convenient kit. Fill a few and keep them in the office, at home, in your
gym bag and in your travel bag. Kit pops easily into the smallest evening bag for on-the-go touch ups.
Q – Are your products easy to display in my store?
A – Our peggable packaging – with barcoded UPC labels – is designed to enhance product
visibility and to increase sales through more effective merchandising. In addition to our attractive
packaging, Japonesque brand products can be effectively merchandised for optimum retail display with
our Slatwall Merchandiser.
